January 15, 2013 (Washington, D.C.) -- Today the Mara 2013 Campaign submitted 4,360 signatures to the D.C. Board of Elections for the April 23rd, 2013 special election for At-Large D.C. Council. 3,000 signatures from duly registered District voters are required to qualify for the ballot.
"Our campaign team is doing fantastic work," said Mara. "At this very moment, we are campaigning across the city. We are gathering signatures and organizing voters. The response and enthusiasm we see is exciting."
"When I tell voters that I'm here to put my foot in the revolving door of District politics the response is always, 'Where do I sign,'" continued Mara.
"On April 23rd District residents will have a chance to choose between more-of-the-same or a new direction. I offer something no other candidate can match: true outsider status and a proven record of unblemished public service," concluded Mara, who declared his candidacy for D.C. Council (At-Large) on December 12.
